Women barred from Starbucks in Saudi Arabia


The women of Saudi Arabia going to the starbucks cafe at Riyahd were surprised to find the post above by the door.

The notice in Arabic and English reads "Please no entry for ladies, only send your driver to order. Thank you".

The image was posted on twitter and many sends tweet condemning the act; some asking to boycott Starbucks.

According to Cosmopolitan,Starbucks issued a statement explaining their actions, 

"Starbucks in Saudi Arabia adheres to the local customs by providing separate entrances for families as well as singles people. All our stores provide equal amenities,services, menu, seatings to men, women, and families".



Hmmm! 
It's sad that we're having such discussion; discrimination against women in this age and time.
