Dr Seuss 27 Trials and Rejections
Theodor Seuss Geisel the American writer and illustrator best known for authoring popular children's books under the pen name Dr. Seuss.
His works includes several of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death in 1991.
According to Elite media, Dr Seuss was rejected 27 times before publishing his first book "And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street" published by Vanguard press.
He was walking home out of his 27th book rejection with the manuscript and drawings for Mulberry Street under his arm, when an acquaintances from his student days Mike McClintock bumped into him on the sidewalk on madison avenue in New York.
Seuss told McClintock "That's a book no one will publish" he went further to say "I'm lugging home to burn."
McClintock had just been made the editor of children's book in Vanguard that morning, he invited Seuss to his office; McClinton and his publisher bought Mulberry Street that day.
Seuss said of meeting McClintock on the street "If I'd been going down the other side of Madison avenue, I'd be in the dry-cleaning business today.
This is one reason you should never give up.
There is a long hard road to success but when you get there at the end, it will be well worth it. It will not only change your life but others as well.
Always remember failure is not a sign to quit!
