French President pardon woman who murderd her husband
French President- Francois Hollande.
Francios Holland; French president, on Sunday 31, January, 2016 granted pardon to a woman named Jaqueling Sauvage who is serving jail term for killing her own husband.
Jaqueline Sauvage, is a 65-years-old woman who had been jailed for 10 years for killing her husband after he abused her for decaded.

Sauvage was married for 47 years to Norbert Marot, a violent alcohlic who she said raped and beats her and her daughters; and also abuse her son.
On September 10, 2012, the day after her son hanged himself, Sauvage shot her husband 3 times in the back.
She was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison in October 2014; which was upheld on appeal in December 2015 as the state rejected her plea of self defense.

Sauvage case had become a cause celebre in France, with more than 400,000 people signing petition demanding her release.
In a statement the French President said "In the face of exceptional human situation, the president wanted to make it possible for (Jacqueline) Sauvage to return to her family as soon as possible".
